Sam Hill, 77, of Racine, Wisconsin and formerly of Lawrence County, Alabama received the promise of eternal life on Tuesday, October 15, 2013.
Sam Hill was born June 30th, 1936 in Hillsboro Alabama to the late Joe Hill and Pearlie Bates Hill.
Sam was the twelfth of thirteen children. He was preceded in death by his parents and eleven of his siblings. Sam was a devoted husband, father and brother.
He enjoyed playing basketball during his attendance at Tennessee Valley High School, Lawrence County, Alabama.
Sam was a faithful employee at Racine Steel until his health failed.
He lives to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 48 years, Rhodell Swoope Hill; three sons, Michael Hill, Racine Wisconsin, Calvert Hill, Courtland, Alabama, Rodney Carter (Roceil), Decatur, Alabama; five daughters, Teresa Hill, Courtland, Alabama, Virginia McCloud, Cincinnati, Ohio, Priscilla Hammond, Deerfield Beach, Florida, Yolanda Collier (James) Decatur, Alabama, Elyce Lane, Decatur, Alabama; seven grandchildren; one sister, Annie P. Hill,;a faithful cousin, Andrew Jackson Hill (Georgia) and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
