Sam Desyatnik passed away on the early morning of January 3, 2016. Sam was born in Moldova, former republic of USSR, in 1938. After earning a dual degree in Agriculture and Economics, he worked most of his life in the famous Moldovian wine industry until immigrating to USA in 1993. In his new homeland he learned a new language, how to drive a car, and how to use credit cards. After working various jobs he retired to spend more time with his family and travel. He is survived by his beloved wife Meri Desyatnik, children Bella Khanin-Desyatnik and Yan Desyatnik, grandchildren Alina Khanin and Irina Constandoglo, sister Nelly Berman and brother-in-law Leonid Shteynbuk, and daughter-in-law Irina Desyatnik.”
