Salvatore Russo, 89, of West Haven passed into eternal rest April 29, 2011. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years Rose Cangiano Russo, and an infant son Pasquale Russo. Survivors include his daughters Serafina Murphy, Rosetta Kessler, husband John, Mary Russo-King, husband Brian and nine grandchildren: Daniel (Jen) Murphy, Stephen (Mindy) Murphy, Joseph Murphy, Lisa, Linda, John, Michelle Kessler, Caitlin and Matthew King. Brother of Louis Russo & Rose Carrano and the late Theresa Garguilo. Sal was employed by Branch Motors for many years; He also was the owner of Russo’s Statuary where he worked with his wife & family. His incredible energy and work ethic led him to seek employment at Pathmark and later Stop & Shop Supermarket where he worked until the age of 86.
