Salvatore P. Longo, 83, of Forked River, Lacey Twp., NJ passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Bronx, NY, he lived in Beachwood, NJ before moving to Forked River 8 years ago.
Salvatore served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was predeceased by his wife Anna Rose in 1997 and his son Joseph in 1989. Salvatore is survived by 2 daughters Francine Longo of Brick and Sally Ann Mata of Toms River, a son Anthony Longo of Roselle Park, NJ, a brother Gil Longo of Parsippany, NJ, his longtime friend Mary Ellen McCarthy of Forked River, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
