Salvatore “Sonny” Gaudio, Jr., 85, of East Haven died Dec. 29, 2014 at Talmadge Park with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Carmel “Connie” Laudano for 63 years ;born in New Haven Jan. 13, 1929, son of the late Salvatore Sr. & and Elsie Marcello Gaudio. He was the loving father of SallyAnn(Tom)Fallon, Glenn(Roseann) & Marc Gaudio Jr.(fiancee Veronica); grandfather of Louis & Matthew Fallon, Carissa, Glen Jr., Paul, Marc Jr. & Eric Gaudio; also survived by great grandchildren, Kiana,
Jaedyn, Dominic, Vincent & Gia Bella; predecased by a grandson Christopher Fallon, brother Joseph, sisters Bernadine, Vincenza & Rita Diglio.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1947 to 1956 and Naval Reserves from 1957 to 1960 and was a master mechanic for over 50 years with Operating Engineers Local 478
Sal loved hunting, fishing & photography, developing & printing many pictures. He was a life-time member of K of C San Salvador Council, Masonic Hiram Lodge for 50 years Elks Lodge #25, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, VFW and Masonic Sahib Temple in FL.
