Salvador H. Panes, 88 years old of North East, MD, died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Sun Bridge Nursing Home, Elkton, MD.
Born in Sara, Iloilo, Phillipines, on April 20, 1920, he was the son of the late Esperidion and the late Felicidad Habagat Panes.
Mr. Panes was a farmer in the Phillipines. While he lived there, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Councilman in Batad, Ililio, Phillipines.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years: Victoria Panes; his children: Eduardo, Herminia, Evelina, Elvira, Zosimo, Cecilia, Fr. Romeo, Corazon, Nestor, Sharonne, his 13 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He is also survived by a sister Lilia and brother Wildefonso.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Wilfredo.
