Sally Sue Schierer, 79, of Yates City, IL, passed away at 10:08 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born on December 26, 1943, in Peoria to John and Virgie Holford Wieda. She had two older brothers Tony and Jim.
Sally is survived by three children: Tammy (David) Neys of Edwards, Todd (Lisa) Rahn of Princeville, and Tracey (Joe) Giovani of Peoria. Also surviving are nine grandchildren: Kayla, Nick, Brady, Taylor, Jordan (Derek), Maddisyn (Dustin), Kamryn, Katie, and Natalie: one great-grandson: Ridge; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Tony (MaryLu) Wieda, and infant grandson Robert Neys.
Her hobbies included baking, woodworking, writing, sewing, drawing, and crafts. She was very talented and had a great sense of humor. She was very generous and always gave to others.
Sally graduated from Dunlap High School in 1962. After High School was involved with Cursillo, Royal Youth, and 4H.
