Sally Jo Gibson, 67, of Spring Hill, Florida, formerly of Lakeside, died early Thursday morning, November 17, at her sister’s home in Harbert.
Sally was born March 27, 1938 in Lakeside, Michigan to John P. and Mame (Riekert) Gibson. She attended Three Oaks High School and received her Bachelors degree in Education from Northern Michigan University. Sally started her profession in Tecumseh, Michigan and retired from her career as a reading specialist in the public school system in Key West, Florida. She had a flair for interior design, enjoyed flower gardening and was an avid reader. She also belonged to several bridge and Mah-Jong groups.
Survivors include her sisters, Anne Thompson of Florida, Harriette Gibson of Harbert, Michigan; brother, Jack (Janice) Gibson of Harbert: and a sister-in-law, Betty Gibson of Lakeside. Sally will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mame Gibson; sister Marilyn Gibson; and brothers, John A., William H., and Harold J. Gibson.
