Mrs. Sallie Ann (Hill) Wynn was born November 22, 1915 to the late Mose and Tammer Thorn Hill in Lawrence County, Alabama. She peacefully slept away on Monday, July 23, 2012.
She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a very young age. She spent most of her adult life in Indianapolis, Indiana and returned home to Courtland, Alabama in 1999. Mrs. Sallie’s quiet, gentle, and loving spirit touched the lives of many.
She was united in marriage to Thomas C. Wynn, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Mattie Sue Hood and Magaline Butler, brothers; Mose Hill, Jr., Willie Hill, Jeff Hill, and Ollie Hill.
She leaves to cherish her memory: a loving step-daughter, Gloria Delores McClain of Kansas City, Missouri; a special and devoted niece, Wilma Sue Hill (Josh) Waddle of Athens, Alabama; a special cousin, Nannie Young of Courtland, Alabama; caregiver and friend, Emma Joyce Washington of Sheffield, Alabama.
Her memory will also be cherished by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
