S. Wesley “Wes” Christensen, 93, passed away of causes incident to age on October 8, 2022. Wes was born on July 22, 1929 to John (Jack) Wilford Christensen and Lola LaVon Christensen in Bear River City, Utah.
His father passed away when Wes was very young. He was raised by his mother LaVon and stepfather, Merlin (Irish) Anderson. Wes joined the Navy at 18 and sailed around the world.
He married Carrol Kay, of Tremonton, UT in the Logan LDS Temple on November 12, 1952.
Wes was known for his sarcastic wit, and writing cowboy poetry, touching the lives of many with laughter and humor throughout his life.
He is survived by his sweetheart of nearly 70 years, Carrol. He is also survived by their son Brent (Susie) Christensen of Sandy, UT., and daughter Ann (Kevin, deceased) Boulton of North Ogden, UT., one sister Gaye Buckmiller of Plano, TX as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Jack, mother LaVon and stepfather Irish, his brother Jack Christensen, his sisters Donna Harper and LuJean Hamilton, and his son in law Kevin Boulton.
Wes has been reunited with his best friend and skiing buddy, Bill Boyington. They have been waiting for a long time to be able to hit the slopes together again.
