Ryn Hewitt (born Tamra Ann Lima) passed away at home on September 1, 2023.

Born in Westerly RI to Amie L Marx on November 4, 1999. Ryn grew up in Exeter RI and Voluntown CT.  Ryn graduated from Griswold Alternative school in January 2020. She was an artistic young adult who could work with any medium. Her talent was exceptional. Ryn also could sing with a heavenly voice and could play music by ear on her keyboard. One of Her proudest accomplishments was carving life size horses from marine grade Styrofoam for the production of Cinderella at Griswold HS. She loved wildlife of all species. She had a passion for Orca’s and followed their pods. She loved the ocean and found a sense of calmness and serenity on and around it.  She was passionate about animal welfare and sustainability having adopted a pescatarian diet to minimize her footprint.

She was passionate about art, sewing, music, reborn baby dolls, spider man and Star Wars and Norse and Viking saga’s (which lead her to more Pagan beliefs) and was an avid Red Dead redemption player.  She held a couple of jobs in her short life. The one she enjoyed most was working with horses which she seemed to be a natural at.

Her favorite holiday was Halloween and enjoyed the occasional horror movie.

She enjoyed trips to Mystic Village for a stroll with her mom with a purchase of a bubble tea., as well as shopping together for clothes for her dolls and checking out the clearance racks and bins for art inspirations and good deals on supplies. Also missed will be the trips to Dunks followed by a car ride that included good conversations about various topics.

On Fridays she would spend the evenings with her beloved Vinny. Taking time to watch a movie series, play video games together and discuss liked topics and enjoying dinner together.

She also enjoyed walks in the park with her pup and sharing their adventures on Instagram. Her dog was her comfort and sidekick.

Ryn touched many lives in her 23 short years. She was a kind and compassionate human being.

Ryn is survived by her mother Amie L Marx, her partner and one of her best Friends Vinny Dickinson of Putnam CT who loved her unconditionally. Her maternal Grandparents Nancy Thornley and John Marx, her great Aunt Helen Gage (Robert) Aunts Caroline A Connor (Matt), Angela M Lima and Uncle Michael D Lima Jr (Kendra) and Eric K Marx (Angela) as well as many cousins.  And her older maternal siblings Billie Jo and Jason.

She is also survived by her dear pup Darby, her dog Meeko and 4 ducks….and 1 lizard.
