Groton – Ryan W. Parmenter, 30, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 9, 2015. Born in Norwich on March 5, 1985, he was the son of the late William and Barbara (Mitchell) Parmenter. Ryan is survived by his sister Jennifer Matthewson of Griswold; his cousins Daniel Parmenter, Katherine Dudley and her husband Earl, and Mathew Hebert; his grandfather William Parmenter, Jr., and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his uncles Peter and Daniel Parmenter; and grandparents Greta Parmenter and Glenora Briden and Arthur Mitchell.
Everyone who met Ryan loved him. He had a sense of humor like no other that could lift anyone’s spirits. He was a music lover, rap being his favorite, but a love for classic rock also that he inherited from his father and uncle. Some of his favorite times were going back and forth with family about how the Red Sox were absolutely better than the Yankees; he was also a football fan that rooted for the Falcons. Ryan will always be remembered for the love he carried for his family and friends, and will be forever missed.
