Ryan C. Brunswick was born in Flagstaff, AZ on 2/3/1997. He was a people person, and from the time he could talk, could carry on a conversation with anyone. During his teens he loved mountain-biking and found elusive peace in the outdoors. Ryan fought a long and courageous battle with Bipolar Disorder, which made his life painfully hard.

Like many who suffer from serious mental illness, he followed the path of self-medication, starting first with marijuana and progressing to meth and heroin. Despite spending several years in a number of treatment programs, he was unable to overcome addiction and it took his life on June 22, 2018.  He loved his family and friends, and it hurt him to see the impact of his illness on those he loved so dearly. We want to remember Ryan for all he was: a great son, a loyal friend, a gentle-spirited person, a troubled soul.

He is survived by his parents, Bob & Paula Brunswick of Flagstaff; sister, Sarah Brunswick of Denver, CO; grandparents, Pat Robertson of Flagstaff and Bill and Verna Brunswick of Beverly Hills, FL; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Ryan is mourned by countless friends who loved him well through all the ups and downs of his short journey in this life.
