Glory to our awesome God, mom is home safe and sound with her Creator and eternal family. We have been blessed beyond words to have such a loving mother in our lives. A woman of God who lived her faith and spread the gospel to all who would hear. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of our family.
Ruthann Witherell lost her husband Robert in 2018 and is now survived by her son Charles T. Witherell, wife Alicia and children Jackie, Nicholas and Hector. Her daughter Holly Witherell, Eric Nordby and son Leif. She also leaves her sisters Elizabeth, Nancy, Bonnie and her brother Tom.
Ruthann was born Ruthann Baldrige in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on May 19, 2019 at 9:40am to her parents Helen Yingst-Baldrige and Charles Thomas Baldrige.
One of Ruthann’s favorite memories she always shared was being raised in Conneautville, Pennsylvania on her grandparents’ farm, attending a one-room schoolhouse. She had fond memories with her Collie dog Patches. She graduated from Conneaut Valley High School where she was a cheerleader, while taking secretarial courses to learn typing and shorthand. She worked for Forbes Candies in Virginia Beach, VA. It was in there that she met her future husband and love of her life, Robert Witherell in the 1960s. They married on October 6, 1962 in Irwin, PA. A few years later, their first son Charles T. Witherell was born September 2, 1965 in Virginia Beach, VA, followed by the birth of their daughter, Holly Lynne Witherell on December 14, 1967. Afterwards, they moved to Silver Springs, MD for Bob’s career while she raised Charles & Holly.
Ruthann enjoyed camping with her family, immersing herself in the great outdoors with those who she loved the most.
Ruthann is now home with Jesus, and her beloved Bob, her parents, and grandparents. We trust in the Lord that we will see her again. She was an angel on this Earth and touched so many lives with her loving kindness. She will be missed more than anyone could ever convey.
