She died at 9:25 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2007, in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis.

Born March 21, 1925, in Hartford City, she was the daughter of Arthur and Katheryn Moore Gotschall. On Nov. 30, 1946, she was married in Logansport to Clarence R. “Fritz” Ervin. He preceded in death on April 17, 1999.

For 25 years, she was employed as an inspector for RBM in Logansport and its succeeding owner, Hamilton Standard. During those years, she also worked as a waitress at the former Logansport Country Club for 17 years.

A 1943 graduate of Logansport High School, she faithfully attended class reunions and class luncheons. She also was an ardent fan of the Indiana University Hoosiers, Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Cubs.

She enjoyed word search books, solving jigsaw puzzles and eating out with family and friends. She enjoyed and loved her entire family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert A. “Rae” and Monica Ervin, Jeffrey A. “Jae” and Brenda Ervin, and Todd A. and Lisa Ervin, all of Logansport; one daughter, Katheryn A. Michael, Logansport; 11 grandchildren, Robyn Lankford, Brandi and her husband, Mike “Buck” Myers, Andy Ervin, Corrine Ervin, Kaylee Ervin, Matthew Ervin, Emily Ervin, Keenan Ervin, Ryan Baker, Jason Baker and Michelle Baker; one stepgrandson, Curtis Michael Jr. and his wife, Robin, Kokomo; a stepgranddaughter, Ella Bell, and her husband, Al, Kokomo; eight great-grandchildren; two nieces, Cindy Hatten and Missy Hatten, Logansport; one nephew, Kevin Hatten and his wife, Cindy, Logansport; and several great nieces and great nephews.

One sister, Loisann Hatten; one brother, Arthur Gotschall Jr.; and one niece, Terry Hatten, also preceded in death.
