Ruth Lee Young Johnson passed away on February 22, 2022, just short of celebrating her 100th birthday, in Orange Park, FL. She was born on April 19, 1922 in Green Cove Springs, FL, to the late Pickins Lee and Solania James Lee.
Ruth worked at S.A. Wright Dairy for many years. She served and loved God with her whole heart.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Willie R. Young, Sr. and Clarence Johnson; brothers, Adolf, Samuel, William and Eugene Lee; sisters, Beatrice Miner and Lillie Collins; and children, Willie R. Young, Jr., Ernest D. Young, D. Elizabeth Grayer and Cynthia M. Young.
Ruth is survived by her children, Allie Ruth Young, Sharon Thurman (JoJo), Shiela B. Richardson (Larry), Peggy L. Tate (Jason), Thadeous A. Young (Angela), Roosevelt L. Young (Tasha), Joseph J. Young (Patricia), Eugene R. Young (Angela), Timothy J. Young and Debra Johnson; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
