Ruth (Porter) Sperre, 93, of West Hartford, died peacefully at home on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Clifford M. Sperre for 61 years prior to his passing in 2013. Born in New Britain, daughter of the late Albert J. Porter and Ruth (Wells) Porter, she graduated from New Britain High School and attended Green Mountain College in Vermont. Mrs. Sperre, an active member of Grace Episcopal Church, Newington, and a retired dental assistant. She leaves her two sons, Keith Sperre of West Hartford and Mark Sperre and wife Dianne of Marion, MA; four grandchildren, Eric Sperre and wife Candace, Kevin Sperre and wife Bella, Michelle Sperre, and Matthew Sperre; one great- granddaughter, Sarah Olivia; her sister Dorothy Moseley of Winston-Salem, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
