Ruth Edna Campbell Wright Schofield, age 94, of Elkhart, IN, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017, at Greenleaf Health Center. Born March 11, 1923, in Buchanan, Michigan to the late Lyman and Mary Campbell, she is predeceased by her brother, Lyman Campbell, and sister, Marion Campbell Kempshall.

During her life, Ruth was married to Jack Wright of South Bend, IN, until his death in 1985. She lived in Elkhart from 1941 until moving to Zephyrhills, FL in 1976. She met her second husband, Frances Clyde Schofield, in Zephyrhills, who passed away in 2010.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail Wright Olinger and husband, Gary, of Bristol, IN, her sons, Dan E. Wright and wife, Lynn, of Greensboro, NC, and L. Paul Wright and wife, Traci, of Brandon, FL; 5 grand(&step)-children, 8 great(&step)-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren. Ruth is also survived by her beloved niece, Jean Kempshall Aziz and husband, Shahid, of Columbia, MD.

Ruth was very active and a founding member and President of the Athena Club, Elkhart. After moving to Zephyrhills Florida she became involved as a realtor/broker for and resident of Betmar Estates. She was also an accomplished water-color artist/mural artist, member of the Betmar Writing and Poetry Club, and member of the Betmar Thespians Club as the set artist. Ruth and her cherished husband, Clyde, were avid world travelers and enjoyed sharing many traveling experiences together.

Our family is especially thankful for the fine folks, past and present, at Greenleaf Health Center and Heartland Hospice for providing exceptional, loving care for Ruth.

Ruth is dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
