Ruth McLain Rooks, 89 of Newnan, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Newnan Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was born September 1, 1929 in Clay County, AL to the late Burl M. McLain & Lenora Estelle Bolt McLain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Junior” Rooks and brothers, Theron, Boyce, Burl, Curtis, & Lester. Ruth grew up in Carroll County, GA before moving to Coweta County. She was a member of Arnco Baptist Church for over fifty years and she retired from Playtex after 35 years.
