Ruth M. Thomas, age 85 of Midland died at Brittany Manor on Wednesday, June 29, 2011. The daughter of the late Clarence and Winnie (Wolcott) Hines.
She was born on October 23, 1925 in Midland where she was raised and educated graduating from Midland High School in 1944.
On September 27, 1952 she married Neil Thomas and he predeceased her on May 25, 1988. Ruthie had worked for J. C. Penney Co., J. J. Newberry Co and sold Stanley Home Products. She also was a long time crossing guard for the City of Midland.
Ruthie attended the Church of God and was active with the ground breaking of the new Meridian Church of God where she taught Sunday school and was active with the Women’s Missionary Society. She also attended and enjoyed the Wesley Chapel.
Ruth is survived by her sons: James (Sharon) Thomas of Midland Mark Thomas of Midland and David (Tammy) Thomas of Hemlock; grandchildren Tom Terwilliger, Elijah Terwilliger, Christopher Thomas, James Thomas, Jennifer Thomas and three great grandchildren
