Ruth M. Kukuk (88) of Yuma, AZ and formally of Alpena, SD went to her eternal home and into the arms of her savior on July 17, 2017.   

Ruth was born October 2, 1928, near Alpena, SD to Martin and Ragnild (Dorram) Bergeleen.  She graduated from Alpena High School and on April 11, 1950, she married her forever soul mate, Keith Kukuk in Brookings, SD. 

Ruth was employed as a bank teller in Minneapolis, MN, office staff at JC Penny, Kansas City, Ks, Larson Manufacturing in Huron, SD until she found her true calling as a supervisor for the Social Security Administration in Huron, SD.  She retired in 1999 where she and Keith moved to Yuma, AZ. 

She was a former member of the MO-Federal Credit Union Board and Sons of Norway.  She remained an active member in her church and a member of the hand bell choir. 

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Huss of Yuma , AZ and Carol Lien of Mechanicsville, VA, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, Jonathan (Anne) Huss and Genevieve of Big Lake, MN, Christopher Huss, Keegan, Payton, and Cammie Huss of Topeka, KS, Colton Lien of Little Rock Air Force Base, Bailey Lien Mechanicsville, VA, Trevor of US Army Fort George G. Meade, MD, and Sam Lien of Mechanicsville, VA along with many nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased in death by her parents, husband, sister and brother in law, Myrtle and Ernest Baruth, nephew Wayne Kukuk, niece, Leslie Harrison, and niece-in-laws Diane and Debbie Baruth
