Ruth Louise Cook-Krumrine, age 87,of Westminster died on Monday, August 2, 2010 at the home of her daughters, Jane Bankert and Dianne Anderson in Gettysburg, PA.

Born January 1, 1923 in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William Jennings and Mamie O’Dell (Hutton) Null. She was predeceased by her 1st husband, Forrest Ray Cook and by her 2nd husband, Claude L. Krumrine, Sr.

She spent most of her youth in Scottsville and Charlottesville, VA. As a young adult, she moved with her husband, Forrest Ray Cook, and family to Westminster, MD. Following his death in 1966, she remained in Westminster, until finally settling in Taneytown, MD. Her marriage to Claude Krumrine, Sr., in 1998, returned her to Westminster to live. Ruth worked for several organizations in the area, including Carroll County Hospital and the Carroll County School Board until her retirement. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God, in Littlestown, PA, where she served as a volunteer, preparing meals for grieving families.

Surviving are daughters, Martha Jane Bankert and Dianne Anderson of Gettysburg, PA, Phyllis Ray Wilson of Sykesville, Md., son, Forrest Gregory Cook of Haymarket, VA. Ruth is also survived by seven grandchildren, Stacy Wilson, Kimberly Jenkins, and Jerri Cole of Taneytown, MD, Jennifer Bankert of Westminster, MD, Denise Cook, of Chicago, Il, Alex Cook, of Chehalis, WA, and Katherine Cook, of Portland, OR. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, as well as two beloved step-daughters, Deanna Cuevas, of Groveland, FL, and Karen Abidi, of Germantown, MD. Also surviving are a sister, Willie Mae Livesay of Keymar, MD.

She was predeceased by a sister, Eva Virginia Stonesifer; and by a brother, Edward Jennings Null.
