Ruth “Jean” Vosberg, 86
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and teacher, Ruth “Jean” Vosberg, 86, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away peacefully May 31, 2018 at Kootenai Health of Coeur d’ Alene. She was born March 17, 1932 in Kellogg, Idaho; Jean was the daughter of George W. and Ruth M. (Murray) Buchanan.
Jean has lived in the Silver Valley all of her life. She attended and graduated from the Kellogg High School in 1950.
Jean was united in marriage to Arnold A. Vosberg on April 1, 1955 in Kellogg.
Jean served as a school teacher and principal for the Kellogg School District #391 for thirty-eight plus years.
During her college years at the University of Idaho, Jean was a member of the Tri-Delta Sorority.
Jean loved sewing and was a wonderful seamstress- she was known for her custom ski wear. She also enjoyed oil painting and was a journalist. Jean, with her friendly and outgoing personality, was a real people person- she never met a stranger.
Jean is survived by two children Elizabeth “Liz” (Mitch) Menke of Kellogg; Steve Vosberg of Kingston; one step-son Randy Reil of Corona, South Dakota; five grandchildren Byron Vosberg, Teresa (Tyler) White, Philip (Jenn) Roth, Danny (Michelle) Vosberg and Brittney Vosberg; seven great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arnold, one brother John Buchanan and one niece Terri Buchanan-Wante.
