Ruth Irene Tharp, 78, of Cassopolis, died peacefully, Monday, June 2, 2014 in The Timbers of Cass County in Dowagiac.Ruth was born March 10, 1936 in Calvin Township, Michigan to Gwenore and Olive (Higley) Tharp. Her parents preceded her in death. She was also preceded by one brother in law, Kenneth Wilson.Ruth was always cheerful and smiling. She enjoyed reading her Bible and just about any book or magazine. S
he liked sitting in the yard in the sunshine and feeding the birds. She did many jigsaw puzzles and playing board games.
Family and friends will greatly miss ruth. She is survived by her sisters and brothers in law, Dorothy and Phillip Waldo of Jones, Thelma and Ray Yoder of LaGrange, Indiana, Betty and Philip Meiser of Dowagiac and Anna Wilson of Jones; her brothers and sisters in law, Lloyd and Barb Tharp of Menominee and Ray and Ilga Tharp of Vandalia; and a host of nieces and nephews.
