Ruth Ione Quick, 89 of Centralia passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Odin Healthcare Center. She was born May 3, 1927 in rural Centralia at the family farm, daughter of Frank Terry and Alice (Carson) Terry. She married LeRoy A Quick on January 9, 1949 in Shattuc and she preceded him in death on October 26, 2002.
She is survived by a brother, Howard Terry and wife Glyndene of Albuquerque, New Mexico and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Frank Hugh Terry and Kenneth Terry, and two sisters: Elsie Goad and Ellen Stookey. Ruth worked as a bookkeeper for Prairie Farms Dairy and operated the Paper Route service for Southern Illinois. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, and camping. She also loved traveling with her husband. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends.
