Ruth I. Dodd, 81 of West Bend. Ruth Irene Dodd, the daughter of Albert and Marvel (Hall) Van Deusen was born August 13, 1930 in Tracey, Minnesota. She was raised in Minneapolis and worked at the Mom and Dad’s Grocery Store and the Greyhound Bus Station, before moving to Elmore Minn. where she worked as a home health aide. It was there she met Warren Dodd, Jr. and they were united in marriage on August 3, 1949. They made their home in Buffalo Center, and later spent years in Britt, Bode and Bradgate, Iowa. From this union five children were born: Warren Dodd III, Sharon (Robert) Wilson, Mary (Roy) Heller, Evelyn (James) Wilson, and Cathy (Jeff) Peters. Ruth went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 7 at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsbsurg. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Warren, son Warren III, and several brothers and sisters. Along with her children she is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as numerous brothers and sisters. Ruth was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, West Bend.
