Ruth Parsons Hagadorn, age 96, of Milford, died peacefully Friday, March 6, at the Orange Health Care Center. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., Ruth lived from 1920 until 1989 in Albany, N.Y. when she and her husband George Haviland Hagadorn moved to their Melba Street residence. She was predeceased by him in 1994. Ruth is survived by her devoted daughter, Carol H. Malone, of Milford; her loving grandchildren, Stephanie M. Cullerton, and her husband Edward of Warrenville, Ill; Elizabeth Ruth Phillips, and her husband Christopher of Dover, N.H.; Robert George Malone of Milford; and her two great grandsons, Theodore and Mason Cullerton. Her brother, Robert J. Parsons of Indianapolis, Ind., died in 1991.

Born in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of John Groves Parsons and Nina Folts Parsons, Ruth attended the Albany Academy for Girls, and graduated from Cazenovia College in 1931. She worked until 1940 at the National Commercial Bank and Trust Co. (now Key Bank) where she first met her husband.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Ruth will be sorely missed for her devotion to family, understated demeanor, kindness and sense of humor. Until her health failed she regularly corresponded with her sister-in-law, Marie Louise Murdock, of Saratoga, N.Y., and her niece Marilyn Parsons of Indianapolis about family events. She was a member of the St.

The family would like to express its deep appreciation for the support and warm companionship over the past few years of Ruth’s caregivers, Eileen Hudak, Julie Hastedt, and Michelle Mauritz.
