Ruth Gladys Barnes Dillman Cummings Currie of 111 South Shore Drive, East Haven passed away July 29, 2012 in The Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the widow of Edward Charles Currie. Mrs. Currie was born in West Haven March 12, 1921, daughter of the late Ernest H. and Katherine Miller Barnes. She worked as an Admitting Registrar in the Admitting Office at The Hospital of St. Raphael for many years prior to her retirement. She was a former resident of William St., West Haven. She is survived by two sons, Warren “Buddy” (Joanne Szymaskiewiecz) Dillman Jr. of Norfolk, MA. and James M. (Mary Carofano) Dillman of Mansfield Center, CT.; Stepsons, Edward Currie Jr. of East Haddam, James J. Currie of Branford and Brian A. (Dorice) Currie of Plymouth, MA.; five grandchildren, Meredith, Michael (Lena), Maris, Scott (Ann-Marie)Dillman and Keri-Nicole Dillman (Alex Hackman); 3 great grandchildren, Jackson, Trent and Ayanna; and 3 step grandchildren, Alexander, Kathryn and Elizabeth Currie. She was predeceased by her first husband, Warren Dillman, 3 brothers, Herbey E., Merritt E. and Ernest H. Barnes; and 3 sisters, Katherine Knapp, Carrie Heslin and Dorothy Fitch.
