Ruth Ellen Wakefield, nee Carson, 64, of Belleville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Rosewood Care Center in Swansea, IL. Ruth was born on June 14, 1951, in Belleville, IL.
She worked as a Retail Clerk for Moto Mart, a Seamstress for Miss Elaine Garment Factory, and a Clerk for Fencl’s Appliances. Ruth enjoyed the O’Fallon Fire Department Woman’s Auxiliary, crafts, reading, and movies and was a very loving and kind person.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold & Sarah Phillips, nee Carson; and a son, Timothy Honer.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Mike Wakefield, of Belleville, IL; daughter, Sarah (Dustin) LaSalle; and grandchildren, Timothy Michael Hook, Ryleigh Allyn LaSalle and Shawn A. LaSalle.
