Ruth Ellen Hardin was born on October 20, 1953, to Lerskov and Doris (Brown) Hardin in Canon City, Colorado. She died of a fatal heart attack on July 10, 2022 and will be sorely missed by many.
In her younger years, Ruth lived in South Park on the 39-Mile and Rogers Ranches, moving to Canon City in time to start school. Ruth graduated from Canon City High School in 1971.
She was employed by the Cotter Corporation, and later by several large mining corporations. In later years, Ruth was employed as a cook in several establishments around Canon City.
She is survived by her brother, Elbert (Sue) of Walla Walla, Washington, and two nephews.
