Ruth Elizabeth Sadowski, 94, beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Aunt, was called to her eternal resting place on April 23, 2016. Born October 15, 1921 in Monticello, NM, to Joseph and Verena Joerger. She is survived by two sons, Joseph and John; daughter, Susan, son-in-law Fred DeGuio; two grandsons, Alex and Zach Sadowski, all of Albuquerque; her sister, Columba Reid, of Arlington, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. She served as a Lt. in the Army Nurse Corp and was sent to CBI, (China, Burma and India Theater) for two years working in the MASH units. Ruth also worked at Carrie Tingley and Lovelace Hospitals. To further her education she went to UPenn where she met her husband in Dental school. She was a USAF wife for 12 years. They adopted three children and Ruth spent many years managing the dental practice. She shared much of her free time with charities and organizations ranging from P.E.O. Int’l; Altar Rosary Society, the Garden Club, and was one of the early founders of Zia Therapy Center in Alamogordo. Her passions were playing Bridge and participating in the AM Volkssport Assn, a national walking organization of which she acquired numerous medals of achievement.
