Ruth Elfriede Gaertner Jeske Hadley, 98, passed away on March 27th, 2022 in South Ogden, Utah of natural causes.
Ruth was born 7 December, 1923 in Sneidermule, Germany to Fritz Rudolf and Martha Anna Luise Wagner Gaertner. She married Siegfried Jeske on 20 August, 1949 in West Germany. In October 1955, she and her family immigrated to Ogden, Utah. After Siefried’s passing, she married Ray G. Hadley on June 25th, 1988 in Ogden, Utah. Ruth was a devoted mother of two sons, Hans and Klaus, and 3 stepsons. She was a loving grandmother to 17 grandchildren, 71 great- grandchildren, and 20 great great-grandchildren.
Ruth was a very active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, playing the organ and harmonica, square dancing, and traveling which she shared with all of us.
Ruth is survived by her stepsons: Vernal [Sharon] Hadley, Kenneth [Georgine] Hadley, and Rick [Jill] Hadley and all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, spouses, sons and an infant daughter.
The family would like to thank Avamere Care Center at Mountain Ridge and Inspiration Hospice for all of the love and care shown to Ruth in the years she has been there.
