Died Tuesday morning September 20, 2016. Ruth was born April 19, 1927 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Ernest and Martha (Bischoff) Leach. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Meijer’s for 24 years, retiring in 1988.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hubert L. Stanfield on January 3, 1962; 2 sons, Charles and Richard Stanfield; 2 sisters, Margaret and Esther; and a brother, Kenneth. She is survived by 2 daughters, Donna (Delbert) Gary of Portage, MI and Deborah (Richard) Plank of Winter Haven, FL; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Stanfield of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
