She died at 5:58 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, in VNA Hospice Center, Valparaiso, following a brief illness.

Born Feb. 12, 1933, in Monon, she was the daughter of Roy E. and Edna Blanche Hayes Kellenberger. She was married July 15, 1951, in St.

A 1951 graduate of Logansport High School, Mrs. Lehmann was a retired employee of Conrail, formerly Penn Central and Pennsylvania Railroads. She began her 46-year career in 1953 working as a key punch operator at Union Station in Chicago. She later worked as a car control clerk at Colehour Yard in Lansing, Ill., retiring in 1995.

While residing in Burnham, Ill.

Ruth was an avid sports fan, especially of the Chicago Cubs. She enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles and watching mystery movies.

She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

Surviving are one daughter, Pamela Crowley and her husband, Dennis, Perry, N.Y.; one son, Gregory Lehmann, Hammond; grandchildren, Mathieu, Jaclyn and Amanda Crowley, all of Perry, N.Y.; one brother, Melvin Kellenberger and his wife, Shirley, Merrillville; one sister, Velma Berg, Michigan City; one sister-in-law, Frances Lehmann, Logansport; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Three sisters and two brothers preceded in death.
