Ruth E. Bertilson, age 91, of Milford, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 in Milford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 14, 1925 in Jamaica Plains, NY to the late Frederick and Elizabeth Krull Miller and grew up in Bridgeport, CT. She attended the Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing. During WWII, she joined the Nurse Cadet Corps, ready to serve but never called because the war ended. She married the late Oscar “Bert” Bertilson in 1946. Ruth worked at Milford Hospital as a registered nurse until retirement.
