Ruth C. Hahaj, 82, of N. Iowa Street in South Bend, Indiana passed away Sunday, Christmas Day, December 25, 2005, at Our Lady of Peace Hospital, South Bend. Ruth was born on March 15, 1923, in South Bend to Charles and Alpha (Smith) Iseman. She was raised by her father and step mother, Martha Iseman. Ruth had been employed with the Coca-Cola Bottling Company, South Bend Tool & Die, Huckins Tool & Die, Pence, Dickens and Heater (P.D.H.), and retired from Koontz Wagner in 1988.
On April 19, 1941, Ruth married John Hahaj Sr., who survives. Surviving with her husband is a daughter, Diana McKeown of South Bend, Indiana; sons, John (Susan) Hahaj Jr. of Granger, Indiana, Charles (Susan) Hahaj of South Bend, Alan L. Hahaj Sr. of Niles, Michigan; grandchildren, Paul R. Leslie of Lakeland, FL, Dawn Leslie of Lakeland, FL, Theresa R. Turbyfill of San Diego, CA, Laura Szynski of Granger, IN, Karrie Roberts of Jamestown N. Carolina, Nicholas Hahaj of Niles, MI, Crystal Gleason of Niles, MI, Cecelia Englehart of Niles, MI, Brandon Hahaj of Oregon, Alan J. Hahaj Jr. & Nicole Hahaj of Walkerton, Indiana; and 11 great grandchildren. A step sister, Betty Galanis and step brother, John Marker preceded her in death.
Ruth was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
