Ruth Beatrice Potts Gallimore, 81, of Lexington passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.
She was born June 23, 1933 in Davidson County to the late Earnest Ray and Ida Harvey Potts.
Ruth worked for PPG Industries as a twist machine operator. She was a member of 2nd Reformed United Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband, Rudolph Samuel Gallimore; daughter, Rita Gallimore; brother, Arlie Potts; sisters, Vivian Briggs, Clatie Palmer, Joann Wilson, and Judy Hailey.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Richard Gallimore of Lexington; daughters, Jona Maiorano (Sal) of Charlotte and Linda Putnam (Curtis) of Lexington; sister, Dorothy Greer of Lexington; grandchildren, Toni Cornelius, Alison Maiorano, and Mark Putnam; and eight great-grandchildren.
