Ruth Anne Hasenkampf Durand passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. She was born September 13, 1940 to the late William Jr. and Anna Fox Hasenkampf, and was married to the late Adam John Durand. She is survived by her sister Joan Voisin, brother William Hasenkampf, III, sister Linda Hasenkampf, and brother Alan Hasenkampf. Devoted and loving mother to Christopher E. Durand, wife Natasha, Douglas J. Durand, wife Alise, and Jeanne Schmitt, husband David. Beloved grandmother to Annette, Chance, Danielle, Adam, Rachel, and Claire Durand, Jesse and Dustin Schmitt. A graduate of Holy Trinity Elementary, and Annunciation High School. Ruth also received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education, and was in the first graduating class at LSUNO, class of 1962. She was a dedicated teacher for over 20 years teaching at Annunciation and St. James Major High School. She was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, and a devoted New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers fan.
