Ruth Ann Winkle, 79, of 333 W. Mishawaka Road, died at 9 a.m. Sunday (July 22, 2007) in Valley View Health Care Center, where she had resided for six years.
She was born Dec. 1, 1927, in Columbus, Ohio, to Charles E. and Augusta (Davis) Tarbox. She married Allan Winkle. He died in 1991.
She is survived by two daughters, Kim (Douglas) Kiser of Goshen and Marsha (David) Walter of Bakersfield, Calif.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Wicham; and one brother, Charles Tarbox.
Mrs. Winkle was a graduate of Hilliard High School in Ohio. She had worked for a bank in Florida. She was proud of being a homemaker and taking care of her family.
