Ruth Ann Green, 83 of Grafton, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at her home in Grafton surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Philippi, July 14,1938, daughter of the late Shirley and Gracie Williams McDaniel. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Dayton W. Green who passed on July 9, 1992.
Ruth graduated from Philippi High School, class of 1957. She worked many years as an LPN at Marley Neck Health and Rehab, in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Ruth enjoyed traveling, shopping, playing on her I Pad and relaxing while watching her favorite TV shows. She loved being with her family and treasured her time with each of them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her especially her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Sonia Green-Hershman (Jim) Grafton, Shirlene Bolyard (Ed), Grafton, Deanna McDole (Randy) Kitty Hawk, NC, Sherry Green (John Arnold) seven grandchildren, Cherie, Ashley, Alesia, Breanna, Ryan, Dayton and Tristan, two great grandchildren, Killian and Jazmin, two sisters, Willa Brown, Arnold, MD, Leona Flint, Clarksburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth is preceded in death by three sisters, Virginia Edward, Betty Wright, Rosalee McDaniel, two brothers, Richard McDaniel, Paul McDaniel, a daughter, Dana Green, and a step-grandson, Paul Smith.
