Ruth Ann Marienau, 85, formerly of Des Moines, IA passed away at 7:30 am on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Snyder Village in Metamora. She was born on December 3, 1929 in LeMars, IA the daughter of Joseph and Katherine Meis and the youngest of their twelve children. She married Charlie Marienau on September 4, 1950. He preceded her in death in 2000, along with her brothers Ray Meis, Len Meis, Huck Meis, Ed Meis, Herb Meis and Bud Meis and sisters Tillie Wolf, Margaret Grau, and Joan VanSteenwyk.
Surviving are her daughter Ann (Ron) Woods of Germantown Hills; grandson Cory (Kari) Woods and great-grandchildren Brady and Ellie Woods all of Shawnee, KS; granddaughter Katie (Kyle) Uftring of Germantown Hills; and sisters Marian Abdalla of Ft. Dodge, IA, and Janet Candiotti of Huntington Beach, CA.
