Ruth Ann Hayes age 83 of Franklin, IN passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, July 8, 2022.
Ruth was born on June 5, 1939 in Liberty, Ky. A daughter of the late Joseph and Ella Mae Whited Fair. On September 26, 1958 she was married to Rex E. Hayes in Franklin, IN. Mr. Hayes precedes her in death.
Ruth worked until her retirement for Berg Electronics in Franklin. In her spare time she enjoyed crafting, cooking, along with making new friends wherever she went. Ruth Ann was a member of the Whiteland Fire Department Auxiliary for many years.
Ruth is survived by two children; David Hayes and his wife Bobbi and a daughter, Kathy A. Kephart and her husband Larry. In addition to her children, Ruth is survived by two sisters; Margaret Dickens of Indianapolis, IN and Helen Ledford of Liberty, Ky. She was the proud grandma of five grandchildren; Nicholas and Andrew Hayes, Kelli Whitaker and Jason and Whitney Kephart. She also was blessed with eight great grandchildren and two fur babies: Zues and Ruby. Ruth is also survived by too many friends to mention but they are never forgotten.
