Ruth Alice Frye, age 83, of Cicero, IN died November 13, 2010 at her home. She was born April 22, 1927 at Cicero, IN to Frank and Nellie (Gantz) Frye.
She was a graduate of Jackson Central High School Class of 1945. Ruth was a restaurant cook and had worked at Cicero Corner Tavern, Cicero American Legion, Tipton Moose Lodge, and Syd’s Bar and Grill at Noblesville.
She was a life member of Cicero American Legion Auxiliary and had served as president and had held many chairmanships of the sixth district American Legion Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary Department of Indiana Southern District where she had servced as vice-president and had also held many chairmanships, Veterans of Foriegn War Auxiliary at Montgomery County, Salon 792 Chapeaux, Indiana Veterans Home volunteer, and Hoosier Girl’s State counselor for eight years.
Ruth is survived by her daughter: Sheryl Sue “Susie” Garner and her husband Danny of Cicero, IN, brother: Bill Frye of Anderson, IN, grandchildren: Michael Kent Tharp of Arcadia, IN, and Dustin Garner of Noblesville, IN, great-grandchildren: Blain and Isayah Garner of Cicero, IN and Caylee Garner of Noblesville, IN.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents is a sister: Lelia Frye and a brother: Max Frye.
