Ruth Adele (Jourdain) Beaulieu, age 90, a lifelong Red Lake resident, was called home by her loving Father on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, from the hospital in Red Lake surrounded by her family.

Ruth was born April 16, 1929 to Charles and Bertha (Mason) Jourdain in Red Lake. She attended Red Lake School until 8th grade. She later married the love of her life, Simon Beaulieu and now returns to join him.

In addition to her husband, Simon, Ruth is now reunited with her parents, her brothers, Mark Jourdain, Sr., Jimmy and William Jourdain; sisters, Alice Hofmaster, Katie Jones, and Mary Jane Sigana; mother-in-law, Jane T. Beaulieu; great-granddaughter, Nakiah Stillday and great-great-grandchild, Maci Nelson.  She also rejoins her special furry friend, Riley, whom she loved like a son.

She is survived by a son, Alden (Patty) Beaulieu, Sr. and daughter, Gail Stillday, both of Red Lake as well as eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren plus one on the way.

Besides leaving behind such a huge legacy, she also leaves behind memories of time spent at the casino, playing Bingo, and the smell of her baking apple pies and cinnamon rolls. She was an avid reader of the National Enquirer.
