Ruth A. Phillips of Kathleen, Georgia, formerly of Portage, Michigan. Ruth A. Phillips went to be with her Lord on Friday, December 12, 2008. She was born July 29, 1926, the daughter of Henry and Nellie Johnson. She grew up in the Kalamazoo area, graduating from Kalamazoo Central High School and then following many years of service, retiring from the Upjohn Company in 1988.
Ruth leaves behind a legacy of love and faith and was a true inspiration to all who knew her. She will greatly be missed by her children, Gary Judy Phillips and Randy Vicki Phillips, all of Schoolcraft, Michigan, Stanley Toy Phillips of Kathleen Georgia, and Becky Donald Paul of Madison, Wisconsin, eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, brother, Henry Johnson, sister, Deana Beeke, nieces, nephews and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Kenneth, her parents and four siblings.
