Russell (Sonny) O. Childs, 78 of Jackson, passed away July 4, 2019 in Freehold, New Jersey. Russell was born May 29, 1941 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey to the late Russell Alfred Childs and Pearle Thompson Childs. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and friend to many.
He served his country honorably and retired from the United States Navy as Master Chief Electrician. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Russell is predeceased by his parents. Russell is survived by his wife, Fe Moseros Childs of Jackson; son, Russell O. Childs, Jr., of Oxford, Georgia; Shane Childs and his wife Karrie of Kalamazoo, Michigan; daughters, Roxanne Moore and her husband Glenn of Monroe, Georgia; Crystal Childs and Frank Rodriguez of Ft. Myers, Florida; and sister, Terry Chansky and her husband Doug of Parkesburg, Pennsylvania.
