On May 26, 2011 Russ lost his courageous battle with metastatic pancreatic cancer. Born in Washington D.C. on April 30, 1940, Russ grew up in Littleton, CO graduating from Littleton High School and later from the University of Denver. He started his professional career at Lockheed Martin and then joined Arthur Andersen, was in CPA partnership with Gib McGough for 14 years and formed his private practice in 1990. He married Sharon Musser in 1963, and later had two children, Allan and Tiffany. He enjoyed playing golf and for many years was a member of Meridian Golf Club.
