Russell Lowell Boice, 83 of Grafton, passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Grafton on January 25, 1936, son of the late Russell Ray and Pansy Gay Murphy Boice. Lowell is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Norma Vandergrift Boice, they were married February 21, 1958.

Lowell was a graduate from Grafton High School Class of 1954. He worked at St. Regis Box Factory for thirty years and The Warehouse Grocery Store for twelve years. He was a Foster Grandparent at Anna Jarvis Elementary School. Lowell was one of the oldest members of the Fetterman United Methodist Church where he was in the Church Choir. He was assistant Scout Master with the Boy Scouts and loved fishing, camping, and caring for his fish pond outside his home. The brightest thing in his life was his family and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He survived by two children, Donna Jamison and husband Dale, Bill Boice and wife Sandra, Grafton; five grandchildren, Devin Jamison, and wife Amanda, Kelly Wright and husband Nathaniel, Kyle Jamison and wife Julia, Drew Hill, Madison Hill; five great grandchildren, Peyton, Rory, Winsor, Jamison, Loxley; two step-brothers, Robert McFarland and wife Mary, GA, Bill McFarland and wife Dottie, Grafton; sister-in-law, Jean Knotts and husband Harry, Grafton; his beloved dog, Dink, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Mary McFarland Boice; and infant brother.
