Russell Lee Marcum, 46, of Centralia, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Russell was born September 21, 1970 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of Robert Marcum and Rita (Turner) Marcum and she survives him in Centralia.
In addition to his mother Rita, he is survived by one sister: Deborah Renee Norman and husband Brian of Florida; one nephew: Brian Norman II of Florida; step- brothers: Christopher and Brandon; step-sister: Megan; step-mother: Cheryl Marcum of Centralia; four aunts; 2 step nephews, 3 step nieces, and nine cousins. Russell enjoyed playing video games and listening to music especially the guitar.
He graduated from Odin High School in 1989 and joined the Marines in 1990. Marine Lance Cpl. Russell L. Marcum participated in a six-month deployment to Okinawa, Japan with 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Maine Division, Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, California. He visited numerous ports while in deployment. He was preceded in death by his father: Robert L. Marcum; maternal and paternal grandparents; one uncle: Roy Marcum.
