Russell Kenneth Cropp, 58, of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at United Hospital Center with his family by his side. He was born February 28, 1964 in Clarksburg, son of the late Helen Lee Shorter Cropp.
Russell worked for Clarksburg Scrap Metal. He enjoyed hunting, riding 4-wheelers and loved spending time with his family.
Russell is survived by his wife, Cheryl Lynne Elder Cropp; three children, Helen Lee Cropp II and Randy, Bridgeport, Jessica Cropp, Clarksburg, Crystal Cropp and Corey, Clarksburg; seven grandchildren, Austin, Kaleb, Mandala, Kashton, Nash, Harper, and Corbin; siblings, Sarah Laura and fiancée Jamie Lipscomb, Clarksburg, Helen Jenkins, Baltimore, MD, Pearl Hartman, Baltimore, MD; William Lee Cropp, Clarksburg, and James Cropp and fiancée Laura, Clarksburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by one sister, Ida Lee Wolfe; two special friends, Todd Flint and James “jimmy” Riddle.
